Bipartisan curling would be a congressional sport if Sens. Cory Gardner and Michael Bennet had anything to do with it.

The two put in some Olympics training of their own to honor the many athletes from their home state of Colorado competing in Pyeongchang.

They both replied “curling” when asked what Olympic sport they would want to compete in, and then had at it in a Russell Senate Office Building hallway.

Their version of curling involved Gardner pushing a scooter and Bennet using a broom to sweep it toward the target they set up with tape. Then they switched positions.

And they weren’t too bad at it.

To celebrate, the senators attempted a high five but missed and caught each other’s arms.

“We’re proud of you, thanks for being great representatives of Colorado and our country,” Gardner said to conclude with a message to Olympians.

Bennet added, “We’re all looking up to you, and we can’t wait to share your victories when you come home.”
