President Donald Trump and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley announced from the Oval Office on Tuesday that Haley would be stepping down from her UN post at the end of the year. “We’re all happy for you in one way, but we hate to lose — hopefully you’ll be coming back at some point,” Trump said, praising the outgoing ambassador. “For all of you that are going to ask about 2020, no, I am not running,” Haley said. When asked by the White House press corps about who will fill the role next, Trump said there are many options and that a successor would be named in the next several weeks.
