GOP Shifts Messaging on Health Care Ahead of Midterm Elections

For years Republicans have been campaigning on a platform to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, eliminating many key aspects such as coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions. As the 2018 Midterm contests draw to a close the GOP message has shifted, however, with candidates in tight races now saying they will and always have supported covering pre-existing conditions.
