Friday was the House room lottery draw on the Hill, and several members-elect brought lucky charms to make sure they drew a good number to have their pick of offices. Rep.-elect Abigail Spanberger drew No. 11 while wearing a scarf depicting the dozens of women who ran for office this election cycle. “It worked,” she told Roll Call after the drawing. We followed the incoming Virginia Democrat as she toured the House office buildings to make her selection out of the available offices. Watch a behind-the-scenes look at the mad dash to evaluate spaces and her final pick for Jan. 3, when she’ll get sworn in to the 116th with the rest of the House and start work on the Hill.
