Sen. Klobuchar dropped ‘bright-colored’ underwear out of her carry-on. Someone had to tell her
The Democrat told the story, and a lot more, in a sit-down with Cosmo Magazine

In a sit-down interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine, 2020 White House hopeful Sen. Amy Klobuchar revealed the last thing she lost — it had nothing to do with a presidential race.
The Minnesota senator recalled boarding an airplane to Milwaukee, when “all of a sudden, this guy behind me goes, ‘Hey, hey, hey, senator, Amy? … You dropped something there in the aisle and you might want to pick it up.’” The culprit? A “bright-colored pair of underwear,” the 2020 White House hopeful told editor-in-chief Jessica Pels.

The senator was jetting out of Washington when she hastily pulled an outfit from her suitcase and stuffed it in her purse because she couldn’t carry her luggage onto the plane.
“I remember thinking, I better have everything that I need in case something goes wrong,” she told Pels, worrying she would be separated from her luggage. And alas, despite the senator’s best efforts, it appears something went wrong anyway.
But “unmentionables” weren’t the only thing Klobuchar mentioned during the conversation.
Cosmo questioned her about reports claiming a high turnover rate and a “harsh” treatment of staff. The Democrat’s response was dodgy and diplomatic.
“I think that one of the things that we’ve found, being a woman leader, and I think some of the other candidates know this as well, you always walk this line and I think you want someone tough to take on Donald Trump,” she explained, adding that she has “high standards” for herself, her staff, and “for our country” while also acknowledging that “you learn from your mistakes and you can always do better.”
Klobuchar, a self-identified “moderate” when it comes to politics, is far from a “fanatic” when it comes to Harry Potter, admitting she would fall asleep when she used to read the books to her daughter.
“I was a working mom and I was really tired,” she admitted.
The presidential hopeful also discussed a range of topics of particular interest to the magazine’s women-based audience, including reproductive rights, climate change and health care.
Klobuchar is the latest presidential candidate to sit down with Cosmo Magazine as part of “The Candidates come to Cosmo” series hosted at the publication’s headquarters in New York.
Klobuchar is the second woman candidate to sit down with the women’s magazine. Her interview follows those of Sens. Cory Booker and Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and, most recently, Sen. Kamala Harris, who dropped out of the race last week.
