While Democrats advocate for sweeping climate action, Republicans hope to plant a seed of their own — literally.

The Trillion Trees Act, sponsored by Rep. Bruce Westerman, proposes planting one trillion trees by 2050 as a way to curb climate change.

The Arkansas Republican was joined by House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy and a host of other GOP lawmakers for the rollout.
