While the Senate in was recess this week, Republican dysfunction continued to paralyze the House as members tried to pick a new speaker. But lawmakers on both sides of the aisle managed to come together briefly for a candlelight vigil commemorating those killed in the terrorist attacks in Israel last weekend.
