Senators had the Capitol all to themselves this week as the tragic flash floods in Texas and New Mexico coincided with the confirmation hearing for the next NOAA administrator. Meanwhile, the Epstein files, Vladimir Putin, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Sen. Thom Tillis all dogged President Donald Trump.
