Kamala-palooza is almost here. With the Democratic National Convention starting in Chicago, the party is looking to capitalize on the bounce it has gotten since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, wrapped up the nomination. But there are several other campaign stories bouncing around the DNC’s perimeter: congressional primaries, abortion rights referendums and the perennial question of who will show up, and who won’t, for presidential party time.
