Ep. 3: Game Plan to Win Senate Seats and Why Democrats Could Take Control
The Cloakroom
On the eve of the conventions, we’re focused on the fight for the Senate, with guests Sadie Weiner of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and Andrea Bozek of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. The rival communications directors share the stage for the first time and talk about the lengths Senate campaigns are willing to go (dressing candidates in costumes) to get noticed amid the clutter and noise. We’re also joined by Roll Call’s Elections Editor Nathan L. Gonzales, also the editor and publisher of The Rothenberg & Gonzales Political Report , who’ll break down the top five states that he believes could help Democrats gain the Senate majority.

Of course, there has been a lot of mind-changing recently. Must have something to do with Brexit or climate change.

Obviously, the Bayh announcement is a game-changer in the race. But it’s odd considering that he ruled out a Senate run so recently.

Fox News Contributor Dana Perino reacts:
The democrats must believe that they have a big wave coming – so they can convince Dems to run for seats once thought not to be winnable

Republican candidate Rep. Todd Young’s campaign is ready with attacks on Bayh’s record:
