Clinton Ends Race With “Favorabilty” Rating Intact

As bitter as the Democratic contest got as times, and despite much commentary about negative views of Hillary Clinton, she ended up the race with her favorability among Democrats the same as that of Barack Obama, according to a Gallup poll conducted May 30-June1. Both were viewed favorably by 74 percent. For Clinton, that was a little lower than the 80 percent or more she enjoyed for most of 2007, and for Obama, it was a rise of 12 points since February.
