Stevens May Testify Thursday

Lawyers for Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) indicated on Wednesday that he may testify Thursday morning as the final defense witness in his criminal trial.

Stevens’ wife, Catherine, is scheduled to testify Wednesday afternoon, and defense attorney Robert Cary told the judge that the Senator is likely to follow her to the witness stand.

“This is a case where he is going to testify,” Cary said.
