Pelosi to Host Obama, Irish Prime Minister on St. Patrick’s Day

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Monday that she will host President Barack Obama and Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen at her annual St. Patrick’s Day luncheon on March 17.Other House Members also will attend the luncheon, which Pelosi will bookend with photo opportunities with Obama and Cowen. Fiddler Liz Carroll and guitarist John Doyle will perform Irish music during the event. The menu will not be available until the day before or the day of the luncheon, according to a Pelosi aide. The luncheon will kick off in the Rayburn Room in the Capitol.
