Republican conservative Mike Huckabee , the former governor of Arkansas and 2008 presidential candidate, is planning to endorse Marco Rubio’s campaign for the Florida Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mel Martinez .

The endorsement is further evidence that conservatives will not be silenced by the party establishment’s support for Republican Gov. Charlie Crist’s Senate campaign.  

Huckabee’s political action committee, Huck PAC sent out a fundraising email yesterday which included the line, “Your contribution or $5, $10, $25 or $50 will be invested in the candidates for Senate Huck PAC endorses. Candidates such as Marco Rubio of Florida.”
