New Hampshire: Possible GOP Candidate Lamontagne Visits D.C.

Attorney Ovide Lamontagne (R), who is publicly mulling a bid for Senate but has yet to officially file for the race, is scheduled to attend a reception this week on Capitol Hill.

Lamontagne is a guest at a Credit Union National Association event this afternoon. According to information on the reception obtained by Roll Call, Lamontagne will attend on the behalf of Mary’s Bank Credit Union. He is chairman of the board of this organization.

Lamontagne is one of several Republicans looking at the Senate race, although only a couple have actually made the move to formally mount a campaign.

Former Attorney General Kelly Ayotte (R) has already filed exploratory paperwork with the Federal Election Commission, and polls show her in a competitive race with likely Democratic nominee Rep. Paul Hodes.
