HOH has to applaud Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) for his colorful phraseology in calling Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) “one fry short of a Happy Meal.—[IMGCAP(1)]

And in the interest of inspiring other Members to such creative and candid heights, we’re loving this list, a handy compendium of metaphors for the more pedestrian “crazy— or “dumb.—

Might we suggest calling your colleague “dense as a bowling ball and half as sharp?— Perhaps he “doesn’t have all his cornflakes in one box?—

And there are a few Briticisms on the list to add a little continental class to that insult, a la “one gill short of a pint.—
