Glenn Nye (D-Va.) is hosting a fundraiser at the National Rifle Association on Nov. 18 that promises good times with “an evening of shooting, beer and snacks.— The invite entices would-be guests to come and try out the NRA’s “latest in laser technology— and pictures a man aiming a rifle, looking very safe with protective eyewear and ear phones — and nary a can of Bud Light in sight. HOH is guessing the shooting part comes before the beer, per the NRA’s brochure on gun safety, which advises no booze “before or while handling or shooting guns.— And apparently, there’s no real danger because the laser technology doesn’t use live ammunition.A Nye source tells HOH that the Congressman is a pretty good shot. “He’s quite proud of his marksmanship,— the Nye-er tells us.
