Reid: No More Votes This Week

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Monday evening that the chamber will not hold any more votes this week.Reid made the announcement after he was unable to reach an agreement with Republicans to move forward on the military construction and Veterans Affairs spending bill. The Senate is expected to vote on the $134 billion measure Nov. 16 after Members returns from the Veterans Day recess, which begins Tuesday night.Reid made the announcement just after criticizing Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) for holding up a separate veterans health care bill. Coburn criticized the measure at a press conference Monday, charging that it is not deficit-neutral.
