Kerry’s Daughter Arrested for DUI

Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry’s (D-Mass.) daughter was arrested Thursday morning in Los Angeles for driving under the influence.

According to the Associated Press, Alexandra Kerry, 36, was arrested following a traffic stop in Hollywood at 12:40 a.m.

Officer Bruce Borihanh told the Associated Press that Kerry was booked at the Hollywood police station, where she was held until 5:30 a.m., when she posted $5,000 bail.

According to Kerry spokesperson Jodi Seth, his daughter was pulled over for an expired registration and was ultimately released after a breathalyzer test indicated she was under the legal limit. “Alexandra Kerry was pulled over for an expired registration and was released after the results of a breathalyzer test at the police station were under the legal limit. Senator Kerry supports his daughter and will have no further comment on a private matter,— Seth said.
