Illinois: Congresswoman’s PAC Backs Jackson

Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) has given $1,000 to the Senate campaign of former Chicago Urban League President Cheryle Robinson Jackson, according to a recent report filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Robinson Jackson is running in the Feb. 2 Democratic primary against state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias — who is widely considered to be the frontrunner — former Chicago Inspector General David Hoffman and attorney Jacob Meister.

Rep. Mark Kirk is running in the GOP primary with several little-known candidates, and he is widely expected to win the nomination next month.

The Edwards donation was made through her Leadership That Listens political action committee.
