Freshman Schrader Starts Leadership PAC

Freshman Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) has filed to create his own Leadership Political Action Committee.

Schrader’s Three Rivers PAC is presumably named for Canby’s historic Three Rivers Farm, where the Congressman and his wife raised their children.

Schrader won his first term in Congress in 2008 by taking 54 percent of the vote. Republicans have indicated that they plan to target Schrader in 2010, and state Rep. Scott Bruun (R) has announced that he will run against him in the slightly competitive district.

CQ Politics currently rates this general election contest as a Likely Democratic.
