HOH’s One-Minute Recess: We’re Outta Here

Seems everybody in Washington is thrilled that Congress will (finally) be in recess for two weeks — including Members of Congress.

[IMGCAP(1)]Several regular Congressional Twitterers took to the social messenging site on Thursday night to share their thoughts about the upcoming break.

While some, such as Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), promised to keep working — “Recessed for Easter, I look forward to seeing constituents in every county next two weeks to promote limited government and repeal Big Gov!,” Wilson tweeted — others seemed excited just to get back to their districts.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) posted, “So excited I get to see both of my daughters tomorrow,” while Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) tweeted “Votes done, ready to come home to Texas!!”

But our favorite has to be from Twitterer extraordinaire Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), who famously sleeps on a cot in his office while he’s in Washington. “Spending my 11th night in a row on the cot,” Chaffetz tweeted. “I am so ready to be home.”
