Updated: 10:44 a.m.

Vice President Joseph Biden met with three key Senators on Thursday morning to discuss national security issues, Capitol Hill aides confirmed.

Biden sat down with Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Joe Lieberman (ID-Conn.), committee member Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) at 9:45 a.m. at the White House.

The START nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia, which is on tap next week in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is among the issues likely to be discussed.
