Heard on the Hill: Pelosi Still Stuck in Stage One of Kübler-Ross

Months after they lost the House majority, the Democrats are still having a hard time letting go.

That’s especially true if you’re in Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s camp.

The political action committees for the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Dental Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association will host a breakfast reception next week with the California Democrat.

It was a standard invite, with its script fonts and its list of pricey donations. But HOH spotted something funny on the invite: Pelosi’s title.

The invite refers to Pelosi as “Leader of the House.” Is that somewhere between Speaker and Minority Leader?

When HOH asked about the invite, a Pelosi spokesman said, “The invite was the result of a typo by a staffer and it has been corrected.”

Message to the Pelosians: It’s OK. Pelosi herself can’t really keep things straight these days. At Monday’s Democratic leadership presser, Pelosi called Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) the Majority Whip.
