Big-dollar donors in Washington, D.C., are being asked to open their wallets for President Barack Obama on May 16.

DC for Obama informed supporters of a dinner featuring Obama at the restaurant Adour in the St. Regis hotel. Tickets are $35,800, and to be a host, donors must commit to raising a total of $107,400 for the event.

There will be a reception later that night at the Capital Hilton that Obama also will attend. Those tickets cost $1,000 or $2,500. To be a host, donors must commit to raising $10,000.
