Linda McMahon Endorses Mitt Romney for President

Senate candidate and former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon (R-Conn.) announced on Wednesday her endorsement of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president.

McMahon stated in a press release that while she has “a tremendous amount of respect for each of the candidates running for our party’s nomination,” she ultimately chose Romney “because he understands that government does not create jobs; the hardworking small business owners across this country do.”

Her Republican primary opponent, former Rep. Christopher Shays, also praised Romney last week. He told Roll Call that Romney’s coattails would make the Connecticut Senate race “competitive” in the general.
