The brother of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is expected to testify before the House Ethics Committee this month, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Robert Blagojevich last year offered to provide details about Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s attempts to secure the Illinois Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama after his election.

“Based on what I know, I believe Jesse Jackson Jr. has a lot of unanswered questions that he needs to answer,” Robert Blagojevich told the Sun-Times last fall. “There are a lot of unanswered questions he should be required to answer.”

The Ethics Committee first began investigating allegations that Jackson offered to raise money for then-Gov. Blagojevich in exchange for being appointed to the seat in August 2009, but it delayed its work at the request of the Department of Justice, which successfully prosecuted the governor.

Robert Blagojevich personally wrote to 10 Members of Congress serving on the Ethics Committee to say that he wanted to testify.
