Cash America Inc. PAC Gives Out Funds

The Cash America Inc. PAC has already filed its campaign finance disclosure report covering February. It appears their early contributions have gone to key legislators. The PAC reported it had receipts of $30,444 and disbursements of $22,500, leaving $86,087 cash on hand. The PAC gave $16,100 to federal candidates and committees, including $5,000 to Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX)(Chrm., House Financial Services); $1,000 to Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)(House Financial Services); $1,000 to Rep. William Lacy Clay Jr (D-MO)(House Financial Services); Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX)(House Appropriations); Rep. Pete Sessions’ PAC (R-TX)(House Rules); and $1,500 to the federal PAC of Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway, who had run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 and the U.S. House in 2002. They also gave $5,000 to State Representative Carol Alvarado (D) in the Texas State Senate 6th District race.
