Rep. Garamendi’s $40K Trip

Rep. John Garamendi reported that he and his spouse went on a $40,083 trip to South Sudan and Tanzania from 2/17- 2/22 paid for by the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere Inc. (CARE). Rep. Betty McCollum also reported going on the trip with her costs amounting to $8,583. The purpose of the trip was to view food security and U.S. investment programs in South Sudan and Tanzania. Garamendi’s report listed thirty-one other members that had been invited.
