The Republican National Committee reported receipts of $5,078,711 and disbursements of $4,650,498 in February, leaving $7,503,029 cash on hand as of 2/28. The committee received $3 million in small unitemized contributions of $200 or less. Major donors included John Catsimatidis (Red Apple Group, NY) $32,400; Edward Cox (NY Republican State Committee chairman, NY) $32,400; Ray Washburne (CEO/president, Charter Holdings, TX) $32,400; J. Ricketts (president, Platte Institute for Economic Research, NE) $32,400; among others. The committee spent $1.26 million on telemarketing; $794,744 on postage; $528,788 on mail production services; among others. The committee paid $50,000 to Wise Carter Child & Caraway (MS) for legal and compliance services.

The DNC Services Corp./Democratic National Committee reported receipts of $3,848,426 and disbursements of $4,470,263, leaving $4,047,379 cash on hand as of 2/28, and debts outstanding of $21,862,960 (debts up slightly from the end of January). The committee received $2.6 million in small unitemized contributions of $200 or less. Major donors were Alfred Pietrzak (lawyer, Sidley Austin, NY) $32,400; Eugene Hale (executive, G&C Corp., CA) $32,400; Douglas Troxel (CTO, Serena Software, HI) $32,400; among others. The committee paid $834,879 for direct mail; $574,132 for polling expenses; and $480,023 for salaries. They transferred $652,267 to state party committees.
