Longshoremen’s PAC Makes $1.8 Million Disappear

The International Longshoremen’s Association AFL-CIO Committee on Political Education reported yesterday for the period 1/1 to 2/28. They started off the period with $10,389,021 cash on hand and ended up with $8,822,477. The report stated a “cash adjustment of $1,776,107.57 is the result of an audit of the ILA COPE bank accounts. The report now reflects the accurate cash on hand.”  There is no detail reported for what the $1.8 million had been spent on, who was paid, or when the funds left the account. The PAC paid Joseph Gil (NY) $8,000 during the period for accounting services.
