NRSC Raised $2.2 Million, DSCC Raised $4.3 Million, Both in Debt
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) reported it had receipts of $2,174,310 and disbursements of $2,336,230 during February, leaving $3,108,871 cash on hand, and $9.5 million in outstanding debts as of 2/28. The committee raised $896,998 from individuals and $1.27 million from PACs and other committees.Major donors included J. Christopher Flowers (managing director, J.C. Flowers & Co., NY) $32,400; Oneida Indian Nation (NY) $32,400; David E. Franasiak (attorney, Williams & Jensen, MD) $32,400;among others. The committee made a $500,000 repayment on a Wells Fargo bank loan.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) reported it had receipts of $4,275,803 and disbursements of $2,185,012 during February, leaving $5,043,336 cash on hand, and $15,013,591 in debts outstanding. Major donors included the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians (CA) $32,400; Ian M. Cumming (chairman, Leucadia Nation Corp., WY) $32,400; Robert N. Klein (president, Klein Financial Corp., CA) $32,400; Oneida Indian Nation (NY) $32,400; Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Nation (CA) $32,400; among others. The committee made no repayments on its $15 million loan from Bank of America.
The DSCC reported five lobbyists/lobby firms who bundled contributions during February. They were Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP Civic Action Committee $137,550; Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck PAC $50,000; Jonathan Jones (Peck Madigan Jones & Stewart) $45,000; Jeffrey J. Peck (Peck Madigan Jones & Stewart) $22,000; and Anthony Podesta (The Podesta Group) $35,000.
