Colt Adds Retired Major General as Lobbyist

Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC, a producer of small arms for military and sporting weapons for hunting and shooting sports, has hired Robison International Inc. (DC) to lobby on second amendment protection and support in the issue areas of civil liberties, firearms, law enforcement, and sports. Major General Randall L. West, USMC (ret.), a principal in the firm, will be the lobbyist. West was formerly Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs.

In other lobby registrations, the Medical Device Competitiveness Coalition (Becton Dickerson &Co./Cook Group/Edwards Life Sciences/Boston Scientific) hired Capitol Tax Partners LLP (DC) to lobby on legislative and regulatory services related to tax reform and other tax legislative and regulatory issues, effective 3/4. Lobbyists are William McKenny (former chief of staff to Rep. Amo Houghton, and former Ways & Means professional staff), Melissa Mueller (former tax counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, and former legal counsel to Sen. Reid),Jonathan Talisman (former chief tax counsel on Senate Finance Committee), Christopher Javens (former tax counsel to the Senate Finance Committee and Sen. Grassley), and Patrick Heck (former tax counsel/chief investigative counsel on the Senate Finance Committee).
