FEC Workload Heavy For Each Report Analyst

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) disclosed today that each report analyst is assigned 200-400 committees to review and assist in proper reporting. While that is bad news for an analyst, it may be good news to a committee treasurer who doesn’t want close scrutiny of their reports. The heavy workload was disclosed as the FEC tries to build closer ties between each analyst and committee treasurer by providing a web search tool to identify the analyst reviewing a committee’s reports. For example, Ben H_ (tel. #) is reviewing Bachmann for Congress. Rebecca H_ (tel. #) is reviewing Andrews for Congress. Tyler C_ (tel. #) is reviewing Alaskans for Don Young.
