DNC Raises $5.7 Million, RNC Raises $6.4 Million in March
The DNC raised $5.7 million in March, has $5.9 million in cash on hand and debts of $22.6 million. The RNC raised $6.4 million, has $8.7 million in cash on hand and no debts.
The DNC Services Corp./Democratic National Committee reported it had receipts of $5,696,640 and disbursements of $3,850,304 leaving $5,893,715 in cash on hand as of March 31, with $22,564,236 in outstanding debts. The committee raised $5.8 million from individuals, including $2.6 million from small donations of $200 or less. Thirty-eight donors each gave $32,400. The largest amount of itemized contributions came from California; 514 donors gave $1.2 million.
The DNC spent $622,888 on direct mail, $514,083 on salaries, $281,603 on polling expenses and $296,548 on payroll taxes. The committee gave $368,465 to various state party committees.
The Republican National Committee reported it had receipts of $6,356,674 and disbursements of $5,187,851, leaving $8,671,852 in cash on hand as of March 31 and no debts. The committee raised $5.8 million from individuals, including $3.3 million from small donations of $200 or less. Thirty-four donors each gave $32,400. The largest amount of itemized contributions came from Texas, with 310 giving $403,290. Three hundred forty-nine donors from California gave $403,243. The committee raised $147,500 from PACs and other committees.
The RNC spent $1.6 million on telemarketing, $1.1 million on postage, $521,514 on payroll, $430,406 on mail production services and $354,650 on taxes.
