Defense-related firms are major spenders on lobbying the executive and legislative branches of government. In the first quarter of 2013, the following defense-related firms reported federal lobbying expenditures on all their issues:

Lockheed Martin $3,710,000 — up from $3,600,000
Boeing Company $3,580,000 — same as previous quarter
Honeywell International $2,670,000 — same as previous quarter
General Dynamics $2,358,168 — down from $2,999,377
Textron $1,890,000 — up from $840,000
Raytheon Company $1,610,000 — down from $2,340,000
Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. $1,180,995 — down from $1,585,116
BAE Systems Inc. $1,030,000 — down from $1,350,000
EADS North America — 2013 not filed (UPDATE: filed mid-morning April 24, $508,760) — down from $704,839 in last quarter of 2012
General Atomics $690,000 — up from 550,000
