Florida developer Jay Odom was sentenced yesterday to six months in federal prison for a scheme to give $23,000 to Mike Huckabee’s 2008 presidential campaign. Odom was convicted of one felony by causing the Huckabee campaign to file a false statement to the Federal Election Commission. Odom had used 10 family members, friends and employees to funnel maximum contributions of $2,300 to the Huckabee campaign, and then he reimbursed them. Odom must also pay a $46,000 fine.
