The House Majority PAC, a Democratic-aligned super PAC, reported receipts of $879,935 from Jan. 1 to April 17. The super PAC raised $469,420 from individuals and $65,758 from PACs and other committees. It received $343,952 in rebates and refunds. The committee spent $640,130, including $143,378 for independent expenditures (almost all of it opposing Mark Sanford) and has $394,870 in cash on hand as of April 17.

Major donors included Jon Stryker (architect, MI) $200,000; S. Donald Sussman (chairman, Paloma Partners LLC, ME) $100,000; Service Employees Intl. Union COPE (DC) $35,758; the Klein Financial Corporation (CA) $35,000; United Steel Workers Political Action Fund (PA) $30,000; and Tonio Burgos (CEO, Tonio Burgos & Associates,NJ) $25,000; among others.
