Abbott Laboratories Employee PAC Hit by Fraud

The Abbott Laboratories Employee PAC reported it has been hit with a series of instances of fraud during the first quarter amounting to $16,102. The PAC stated (see page six) an unknown individual had created and cashed fictitious and forged checks.

The PAC discovered the fraud after the close of books for its last report. The PAC listed four March disbursements, ranging from $3,891 to $4,124, as “unauthorized.” The Bank of America has returned the funds to the PAC’s account.
