DCCC Spends Quarter-Million Dollars Opposing Sanford

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee reported this afternoon that it spent $214,848 on April 29 for independent expenditures opposing Mark Sanford of South Carolina. They paid $204,848 to Great American Media (D.C.) for media buys and $10,000 to Adelstein/Liston LLC (Ill.) for media production.

Over the weekend the DCCC reported it spent $24,981 on April 27 for independent expenditures opposing Mark Sanford. They paid $24,981 to Adelstein/Liston LLC (Ill.) for production and media buys.

In 48-hour contribution notices Mark Sanford reported he received $1,000 from the CTIA-The Wireless Association PAC. He also received $2,600 from Howard Rich (ALG Real Estate, Pa.), $2,600 from Andrea Rich (president, Center for Independent Thought, Pa.), and $2,600 from Patrick Bryne (he-CEO, Overstock.com, Utah), among other contributions.
