IRS Records Show More Than 100 ‘Tea Party’ or ‘Patriot’ or ‘9/12’ Groups

Public records of the IRS show more than 104 groups with the keywords “Tea Party” or “Patriot” or “9/12” in their title that have filed electronically as a Section 527 organization. Political MoneyLine has pulled that data from the IRS and is making it available in a spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet includes the names of organizations, contact names, addresses, some email addresses, and the organization’s stated purpose. If you expand the spreadsheet, the Purpose field “AO”, shows many that state they will be involved in political activity.
