House Agriculture Committee Member Forms PAC
Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Colo., has registered his new leadership PAC, Taking an Independent Perspective Together for Our Nation (TIPTON) PAC.
Compared to his campaign committee, Tipton’s leadership PAC will be able to contribute higher amounts to other members’ campaigns or their PACs. Tipton may also feel he has an obligation to help other members. In the 2011-2012 cycle, the PACs of other members gave Tipton’s campaign $144,250, and the campaign committees of other members gave Tipton’s campaign $37,000.
