NRSC Financial Balance Better Than DSCC, But Raises Less
The National Republican Senatorial Committee reported having a net balance of $886,499 more than the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, after raising $1.2 million less than the DSCC in September.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee reported receipts of $3,421,097 and spending of $4,782,628 in September, leaving $3,418,005 cash on hand on 9/30. The committee raised $883,056 from contributors giving $200 or less. They received $469,500 from PACs and other committees. The committee repaid $2,500,000 to extinguish an outstanding loan from Wells Fargo.
Major donors included $32,400 from Howard Crow (retired, TX); $32,400 from Mrs. Katherine Crow (homemaker, TX); $32,400 from Stuart Crow (investments, TX); $21,500 from Mrs. Margaret Crow (homemaker, TX); and $21,500 from Mrs. Shirley Crow (TX).
Other donors included $32,400 from Charles R. Schwab (chairman & CEO, Charles Schwab Corp., CA); $32,400 from Daniel D’Aniello (co-founder, Carlyle Group, DC); $30,000 from John B. Hess (chairman, Hess Corp., NY); $32,400 from J. Larry Nichols (CEO, Devon Energy Corp., OK); $32,400 from Stephen Schwarzman (chairman & CEO, The Blackstone Group, NY); $32,400 from Christine Schwarzman ((NY); $32,400 from Dr. Jack Y. Zhang (CEO, Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, CA); and Ms. Mary Lou Zi-Ping (chairman, Amphastar Pharmceuticals, CA); among others.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee reported receipts of $4,602,389 and spending of $3,954,555 in September, leaving $10,031,506 cash on hand on 9/30, and debts of $7,500,000. The committee raised $2,076,903 from contributors giving $200 or less. The committee received $349,000 from PACs and others committees. The committee repaid $1,250,000 on outstanding loans from Bank of America.
