Wealthy Members of Congress Report Financial Transactions

Wealthy members of Congress, and several on the House Ways & Means Committee, reported large stock transactions during the last month.

Rep. Scott Peters, D-Calif., a member of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, reported his spouse sold $1 million to $5 million of Globecomm on 10/1. Globecomm is a leading provider of satellite-based communications. He sold $1 million to $5 million of Transcat on 10/7. The company provides calibration services and measurement instruments. Roll Call ranks Peters as the 8th richest member of Congress.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., reported he bought $1 million to $5 million of CBL & Associates Properties Inc. (CBL) on 10/10. The company develops, and manages malls and shopping centers in the U.S. Roll Call ranks Corker as the 22nd richest member of Congress. Corker sits on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs committee.

Rep. John Delaney, D-Md., who sits on the House Financial Services Committee, reported he and his spouse bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Stephen F. Austin Texas State Univ- bond on 10/10. Two of the family GRAT trusts sold $2,500,003 to $6 million of CapitolSource Inc. stock in October. Delaney was a co-founder and former chairman of CapitolSource. Roll Call ranks Delaney as the 6th richest member of Congress.

Rep. James Renacci, R-Ohio, reported he bought $100,001 to $250,000 of University CA REVS for previous issues on 9/27. He also bought $100,001 to $250,000 of  New York ST Urban Dev Corp Rev. Income Tax Rev Bds on 9/18. He also bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Wisconsin St, Go REF, Series 2013 5% on 10/11. He sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Pennsylvania Economic Dev Fing Auth Unemployment Comp. on 10/2. Renacci sits on the House Ways & Means Committee. Roll Call ranks Renacci as the 10th richest member of Congress.

Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., reported her spouse bought $100,0001 to $250,000 of Artisian Funds Inc. on 10/21. He also sold $100,0001 to $250,000 of BBH Limited Duration on 10/9. He also sold $250,001 to $500,000 of the same BBH Limited Duration on 10/21. Black’s spouse had earlier sold $500,001 to $1 million of BBH Limited Duration on 7/31. Black sits on the House Ways & Means Committee. Roll Call ranks Black as the 14th richest member of Congress.

Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., reported he sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Puerto Elec Pwr Auth Ser JJ on 9/25. He bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Maryland St 2nd S Go Call 8/1 on 9/10. Kelly sits on the House Ways & Means Committee.
