Northwestern Football to Honor U.S. military with Uniforms

The Detroit News reports that “Northwestern will sport alternate uniforms for its Nov. 16 game against Michigan that honors the United States military and the Wounded Warrior Project.”

“The Wildcats’ uniforms and helmets will be red, white and blue, and instead of player names, the back of the jerseys will have these words: Duty, Honor, Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Country, Service.”

“After the game the jerseys will be auctioned off, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides scholarships and other assistance to veterans injured in service to the U.S., and to their families.”
