Rep. Paul Ryan Gives Support to Ben Sasse in Nebraska Senate Race

A Republican committee chairman in the U.S. House of Representatives has joined the Club for Growth and the Senate Conservatives Fund in supporting Ben Sasse’s U.S. Senate campaign in Nebraska.

Prosperity Action Inc., the leadership PAC of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., chairman of the House Budget Committee, has reported it contributed $5,000 to the U.S. Senate campaign of Ben Sasse, R-Neb. Sasse is the president of Midland University and is seeking the seat of Sen. Mike Johanns, R-Neb., who has announced his retirement at the end of next year.

Three other Republicans in the race are Omaha banker Sid Dinsdale, Omaha lawyer Bart McLeay, and former state Treasurer Shane Osborn, who has reported raising $570,422 through 9/30, with $426,759 cash on hand.
