Lieberman Scores a Victory … Chairmanship, That Is | Downtown Moves

Former Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, I-Conn., continues to collect new titles as he starts his second year away from Congress. Victory Park Capital, a Chicago-based asset-management firm announced Thursday that Lieberman was coming aboard as chairman of its executive board.

The former chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee became senior counsel at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman last year. He also hopped on board the American Enterprise Institute’s American Internationalism Project as co-chairman.

Busy, busy, busy.

Victory Park Capital “provides private debt and equity financing to middle-market companies,” according to a statement from the firm. “While in the U.S. Senate, I fought for policies that would allow small businesses to thrive. I look forward to a long-term partnership with Victory Park Capital that will position the firm for continued growth,” Lieberman said in the same statement.
