In Gmail We Trust

The House has mail.house.gov and the Senate has that ubiquitous underscore that never quite caught on with the rest of the email world. But sometimes those gmail and Yahoo accounts prevail in job listings. Worried that this could be anything less than official business? Hill Navigator discusses below.

Q. How much should I trust job vacancies on the Hill that do not have .gov e-mail addresses? I’m worried that something like “wisconsindemsenatorjob@gmail.com” or “westernsenatorLA@yahoo.com” aren’t legitimate job postings.

But perhaps Hill Navigator is too trusting? If there are any tales of rogue job postings, send them my way. Would love to hear THAT story…
