The Federal Election Commission is making available online updated resources for those involved in the 2014 elections.
The FEC now has available for download a new edition of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 11, Federal Elections , revised as of January 1, 2014. This includes the campaign finance regulations adopted and administered by the Federal Election Commission. This is a ‘must have’ publication for PACs, party committees, candidates, and reporters. When the FEC sends a letter or notification, it may cite various regulations, such as “Section 104.3.” This publication will provide more detail on Section 104.3 dealing with contents of reports, and help people understand the rules.
The FEC now has available a new edition of the Combined Federal State Disclosure and Election Directory . This publication identifies and provides specific names, phones, and email contacts for federal and state agencies responsible for the disclosure of campaign finances, lobbying, personal finances, public financing, candidates on the ballot, election results, and spending on state initiatives and other financial filings.
The FEC has also upgraded their
website
to provide easier navigation between its campaign finance disclosure information and its regulatory actions. such as enforcement matters, advisory opinions, and open meeting information. View new search topics.
Earlier this month the FEC revised its chart on Contribution Limits for 2013-14, after the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in McCutcheon v. FEC .
