This week was all about Police Week, the reopening of the Washington Monument and the Senate. It seems our friends on the south side of the Capitol needed a week away from Washington. Didn’t they just have a two-week recess a few weeks ago? Regardless, CQ Roll Call photographers were here to bring you the news from around the Capitol.

Each week our award winning photojournalists take hundreds of shots around the Capitol. A select group of those are filed into our archive. Few from that group make it into our paper and on to the website. Each week, we choose photos that may not have made it through the process and present them as our photos of the week. You may find some news you missed from around the Hill.
